Drub and her trolls are helping Ember and the Wolfriders dig a tunnel into the monster's den. While everyone is working hard to get to the monster before Pike is sacrificed, Flam is busy with his project. He has been working on his own invention, maybe inspired by Two Edge. Flams machine will empty the water out of the cave, to make it easier and faster for the elves to attack the monster from behind.
Meanwhile, Pike and the old hag are set to public dispute, fruits and vegetables are thrown at them, and by the end of the day, they are taken to the Redeemer to seal their fate. Inside the cave, the Wolfriders attack the Redeemer from behind to force it out of its den, while the trolls wait on the outside to attack as soon as the Redeemer escapes the cave. Trolls and elves together as a team manage to kill the Redeemer and save Pike's life, while the humans are watching it all.
Teir resides to show up and claim his spot in the tribe as a Wolfrider, but this creates some tension in the group. A lot of jealousy is building up while finding their way back to Howling Rock.
Among the humans, we see Djun and his two offspring, one son and one daughter. The Djun is revengeful he wants to regain the power he once had, to become bigger again he sends his son, Angrif off to find him more land to rule over. In the end, Angrif stumbles over the Wolfriders while they are out hunting and we can see the joy in his eyes while finding the elves he has heard so many stories of.
